John was born and raised in Southern California in a community that is very much like Billings today. John graduated in 1981 from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts. He graduated from Law School and worked as a county prosecutor for 31 years. He has been married for 37 years and they moved to Billings to follow their daughter and son-in-law. They love living in Billings!
